Since 1999 Geoff Adams has been a Senior Research Fellow (Statistics), Melbourne Dental School, The University of Melbourne and the Oral Health Cooperative Research Centre. Before this he was a Research Fellow in Statistics and Epidemiology and Deputy Director – Health Watch Program, Department of General Practice and Public Health at The University of Melbourne.
His research interests include oral health epidemiology (dental caries, periodontal disease, oral cancer), systemic disease epidemiology, statistical analysis methods for clinical trials, longitudinal studies, cluster randomised trials and Bioinformatics.
Geoff’s research projects include
- Clinical trials of dental caries preventive agents
- Longitudinal studies of periodontal disease progression
- Associations between periodontal diseases and systemic diseases
Statistical consulting for undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects.
